Tunnel, Meet Light

In approximately one month I'll be applying for graduation from my Master's program.  Has it really been almost three years since I set out on this journey?  So much has happened along the way...new friends, new jobs, new grays!  The odd thing is I still feel as if there's much more to learn.  This program has been a catalyst for me to re-evaluate my place in the world, the impact I have as a teacher, and where the future may lead.

My trip to Belize last summer was remarkable, at turns both disappointing and surprising.  A few things are clear: I am supremely grateful for running water and indoor plumbing, prefer lakes and rivers to the open ocean, and find the most joy outside amid the birds and beasts.

So although I'd planned to share many of my trip pictures here, I've realized that out of context they lose much of their meaning.  If you know me, let's meet me for coffee and I'll share the photo book with you.  I won't be heading back to Belize - there are too many other places yet to see - but I am glad I went.

Life isn't a matter of milestones, but of moments.
